Overview
Ex Table is the table of Simon Legald's Ex outdoor series for Normann Copenhagen, filed under Outdoor Tables. It was introduced in October 2024 alongside the Ex Bench and is made of anodized aluminum.
Construction
The top is built from extruded aluminum profiles separated by small gaps, which lets rainwater drain, and four subtly angled legs carry it. The surface is anodized and the table is flat-packed and easily assembled.
Specifications
200 x 89 x 75 cm (Ex Table, 609540), weight 45 kg.
Story
Aluminum as the main subject
Extruded aluminum is the material at the center of Ex, and the series is named after it. Simon Legald values the material for being lightweight and highly durable.
Light yet sturdy
Normann Copenhagen describes the profile top and four subtly angled legs as visually light yet sturdy, and says the table moves indoors as well, into homes and into busy professional canteens and educational settings.
