Story
Visual continuity in every detail
Herman Miller credits the line to Dan Grabowski, a Detroit native who trained at the College for Creative Studies. The design story quotes him saying that a Herman Miller product needs visual continuity in every single detail, on the top, the bottom, inside or out.
One kit of parts
The brochure says the same kit of parts can be used to make tables for practically any need, with a choice of top shapes and sizes, base styles and heights, and mobility options including casters or glides.
