Essential
Edra presents Essential as a compact sofa made flexible by its Smart Cushion, which can shape itself for different uses. The system consists of several sections and supports simple geometric compositions. Linear two-, three- or four-seat sofas can become angular solutions; curved seats form half moons or semicircles, while elongated single or double seats create compositions with chaise longue. Edra characterises the result as cozy, elegant, sober and essential. Full covering details are supplied through official authorized dealers.
Story
Geometry for changing arrangements
Essential is a modular sofa whose sections allow a composition to change from a straight run to an angle or curve. Edra describes half-moon and semicircular arrangements alongside elongated seats and chaise-longue compositions. Francesco Binfaré is credited as designer. The Smart Cushion is the adaptable element that lets the sofa respond to different uses while keeping the overall language sober and essential.
