Description
Overview
Elephant Soft is an armchair by Karen Chekerdjian in which Elephant develops its majestic character into a more comfortable version. It keeps the two outward-reaching tusks and the four anchored legs, and adds a new backrest and a soft seat cushion.
Construction
Stained solid ash wood makes up the outer structure, with a turned solid wood base. The final cover combines load-bearing leather with leather, and the cushions come in fabric or leather.
Specifications
72 x 90 x 72 cm (W x D x H, 0ELPPL084KU02LL).
Story
Bold lines, fine cabinetmaking
In this iconic armchair, bold lines and primitive volumes blend with fine cabinetmaking to convey strength, solidity and comfort. The base is crafted from turned solid wood, carefully worked and smooth to the touch, and the hand-crafted leather structure is completed by a soft cushion and an ergonomic backrest.
Lacquers for a tone-on-tone look
The design is enriched with new glossy and matt lacquer finishes. They create a tone-on-tone harmony in which the surfaces interact through a balanced dialogue of material and colour.
