Overview
Rodolfo Dordoni's Dylan for Minotti is a modular seating system, shown on this page in its suspended-base version: the base floats 13.5 cm above the floor on thin extruded aluminium blades in Bronze or Pewter, which Minotti says gives an airy, modern feel.

Construction
The seat is plywood with a metal reinforcement, padded with high-resilience, variable-density foam and rubber-rich elastic webbing. Back and arm structures in plywood are covered in foam and wrapped in quilted polyester fibre, heat-bonded to white cotton; the quilting is hypoallergenic and made with recycled materials. The seat and back cushions use channelled goose down from the Assopiuma Gold Label scheme. The structural base is sheathed in strips of fabric or leather, tailored with the technique of the Connery system and laced together. Load-bearing bases are extruded aluminium in polished anti-fingerprint Bronze or Pewter. In all versions the upholstery comes off in full.

Story
The suspended version
Minotti describes this version as particularly airy and modern, matching a more contemporary style while shining a spotlight on its couturier details. The page calls the project a perfect balance between design essentiality and density of details, combining light aesthetics with high-quality comfort.
Tailoring in the base
The suspended base uses the tailoring technique developed for the Connery system: strips of leather or fabric are joined by webbing, and the stitching along them sets the rhythm of the seat cushioning and brings one more couture note to the design.
