D'Urso Swivel Chair

Overview

The 2165 D'Urso Swivel Chair is a 2008 design that encloses a single cushion within a continuous upholstered shell. A central pedestal allows the compact seat to turn through 360 degrees.

Mechanism

Solid wood and bent-laminate plywood form the inner frame. Urethane foam and polyester wrap cover the interior. The die-cast aluminium base can include pneumatic height adjustment and an optional return-to-centre mechanism.

Specifications

• W 32 x D 30 x H 25.75-28.75 in (adjustable version)
• Seat height 17-20 in
• Fixed-height version also available

A chair shaped around rotation

D'Urso's swivel chair removes separate legs and sets its rounded upholstered body on a single pedestal. The uninterrupted shell defines the outer profile while the loose-looking seat sits inside.

Fixed or adjustable

Knoll offers a fixed seat height as well as a pneumatic range. A return-to-centre mechanism is optional, allowing the rotation behaviour to be selected with the base specification.
