Description

Overview

Rodolfo Dordoni designed Darren with a formal simplicity that conceals a more intricately structured piece. This vertical dining cabinet has a Moka-coloured ash structure, a drop-front door and glossy lacquered fronts, and it stands on a metal-clad base.

Construction

The structure is MDF with ash veneer, finished in open-pore Moka lacquer. The top and tray are satin aluminium in Malt, and the glossy fronts come in three colours. Behind the drop-front door are a 10 mm glass shelf, a Smoked-Grey glass mirror and a motion-activated LED light bar.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 90 x 56 x 120 cm
  • Structure: MDF with ash veneer, Moka open-pore lacquer
  • Top and tray: satin aluminium, Malt
  • Base: MDF clad in satin metal, flush-set adjustable feet

Story

A simple front, a structured interior

Darren looks formally simple, and its rational, accurate design hides a more intricate structure. Rodolfo Dordoni gives it a central element in Moka-coloured ash wood with a shelf closed in on three sides and lined with Malt-coloured satin aluminium strips.

Handles made from the top edge

The glossy painted doors open with a metal handle that matches the top of the unit. It is fashioned out of the strip used to finish the top edge.
