Story

Thick shelves and metal segments

The extreme thickness of the shelves is the backbone of the bold horizontal design of Dalton. It is interrupted in places only by vertical metal segments, which create an irregular but pleasant division of the spaces.

Materials in contrast

The project pairs the sheen of polyester lacquered palisander and of glossy White and Granite lacquer with the muted severity of metal. The metal has a new stripe design in the shade of Pewter, created by the Minotti Studio. Full and empty spaces interplay across the back panels, and the bookcase becomes a focal point of the living room, with detail work but no excess or ostentation.
