Overview
The Cover Lounge Chair is the lounge version of the Cover chair, designed by Thomas Bentzen. Muuto describes a grand seat that needs little floor space.
Construction
- Form-pressed wood
- Oak veneer back and seat; legs and frame in solid oak
- Lacquered with water-based lacquer; plastic glides

Story
A natural extension
In Muuto's story about the chair, Thomas Bentzen calls the Cover Lounge Chair a natural extension of the original Cover chair and an idea he had for some time. It was important to him to keep the original's light and open expression, to show its kinship with the chair.
Starting from an existing design
Bentzen says the expression and materials were already given, yet translating the chair into a lounge chair was more challenging than he expected: small details were twisted to bring solidity and robustness together with a light, modern touch.
