Description

Overview

The Colette armchair is a Rodolfo Dordoni design for Minotti. Minotti's page says it takes its inspiration from the iconic period of mid-century elegance and blends experimentation in the design of shapes with a sophisticated decorative taste. It comes in two heights and two finishes, Light Gold and Black-Nickel.

Construction

  • Structure: calendered metal profile, assembled and welded at more than 300 points; the metallic finish is galvanised in a white-gold bath and sealed with a transparent protective coating
  • Seat: polyurethane foam with a metal insert and elastic straps
  • Cushion fill: goose down in channels, certified by Assopiuma (Gold Label), around a temperature-sensitive polyurethane core
  • Covers: fabric or leather, fully removable
  • Feet: adjustable stainless steel in the same finish as the structure, with black rubber pads

Specifications

  • Armchair: W 72 x D 85 x H 84 cm
  • Bergere: W 72 x D 93 x H 100 cm

Story

Mid-century elegance

Minotti's text presents the Colette armchair as a piece that turns heads. It says the design draws on the iconic period of mid-century elegance and combines experimentation with form with sophisticated decorative taste.

A note of extravagance

The page's focus text speaks of a luster as refined as it is understated, and compares the armchair's effect in a room with cuff links on a business suit: a touch of refined elegance.
