Close Nightstand

Overview

The Close "Nightstand" by Rodolfo Dordoni has a sleek cross-shaped base with a refined Bronze satin finish. The upper part is a compartment that can be accessed from both sides. The cross-base version measures 48 x 48 x 48 cm.

Construction

The body is MDF, 13 mm thick, split inside by a partition made of MDF as well. Version "A" pairs a Moka oak body (open-pore lacquer) with a Clay upper shelf in glossy lacquer, and version "B" pairs a matt Clay lacquered body with a Moka oak upper shelf (open-pore lacquer). The base is metal painted Bronze with a satin finish: a 40 x 40 mm square tubular upright above a cross-shaped foot of 40 x 8 mm tubular metal, with protective Hytrel® slides.

A compartment on a cross-shaped base

Rodolfo Dordoni's Close night stands combine a slim cross-shaped base in Bronze satin metal with an upper compartment open on two sides. Its handcrafted satin finish can give slight colour differences from one base to another.

Two finish versions

Version "A" has the oak in open-pore Moka lacquer for the body and a glossy Clay lacquered top. Version "B" reverses the two, with a matt Clay body and the top in Moka oak.
