Description

Overview

Rodolfo Dordoni designed Close Console. It unites functionality with a tasteful, lasting design and is at home in the living area or the bedroom. It measures 180 x 40 x 60 cm (W x D x H).

Construction

13 mm MDF forms the carcass, which holds an MDF divider inside; the upper part is an open shelf. Two finish versions swap the materials of structure and top between open-pore lacquered oak and lacquer. The base is satin-finish painted metal with a 40x40 mm square upright and a 40x8 mm cross-shaped foot, fitted with Hytrel slides.

Specifications

Overall size 180 x 40 x 60 cm. Three named finish colours across the two versions.

Story

A console for living room or bedroom

Close Console joins practical use with a tasteful design meant to last, and it sits comfortably in either a living area or a bedroom. Rodolfo Dordoni is the credited designer.

Two ways to pair oak and lacquer

The console is offered in an A version and a B version. In version A the oak forms the structure and a glossy lacquer finishes the upper shelf; in version B the structure is matt lacquered and the upper shelf is oak. Both versions stand on the same bronze-coloured metal base.
