Overview
Rodolfo Dordoni's Caulfield has a natural bent for lightness. Its emphasis is on the design of empty spaces: the use of materials is reduced to the smallest possible extent, and thin columns supporting minimal surfaces are all that is left.
Construction
The metal structure is made up of rods Ø 10 mm and Ø 6 mm. The finish is bright chrome-plating, and the table stands on protective PVC glides. The top is either glossy varnished wood in Black or Smoked Grey tempered glass, 10 mm thick.

Story
Design of empty spaces
For Caulfield the emphasis could be on the design of empty spaces, because the materials have been cut back as far as possible. Thin columns that carry minimal surfaces are all that remains, and the line given for the table is "Less is more".
