Overview
Campana is a hanging lamp, credited by Edra to Fernando e Humberto Campana. Its bell is formed from hundreds of aluminium sheets laser-cut into irregular shapes and affixed by hand. Each sheet contributes to the layered surface rather than forming a single continuous shade.
Light
Edra describes a concentrated downward light together with gentler light escaping through the gaps between adjacent metal sheets. The layered construction is presented as producing reflections as well as these two light effects, with the openings allowing light to emerge between neighbouring sheets.
Story
A bell of aluminium sheets
Campana uses hundreds of laser-cut aluminium sheets, each in an irregular shape and fixed by hand to form the bell. The product page credits Fernando e Humberto Campana. Light falls in a concentrated beam from above while a gentler glow escapes through the gaps between the metal sheets. Edra presents these openings as part of the lamp’s reflective light play.
