Calder Bronze Sideboard

Overview

The Calder "Bronze" sideboard by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti joins the Calder "Bronze" console series. A structure of satin-finish metal in Bronze holds a cabinet with ebony veneer sides and doors, and a beveled Calacatta marble top closes it.

Construction

The frame is 10 mm satin-finish metal painted Bronze. The cabinet is MDF with composite ebony veneer, matt open pore inside and out, with a back in Bronze mirrored glass. The top is 20 mm Calacatta marble, beveled, and the sideboard rests on protective felt. The 72 cm high cabinet has two drawers matching the exterior, lined with saddle-hide on the bottom, on full-extension guides.

From console to sideboard

The Calder "Bronze" series of consoles, with its pure, uncluttered lines, expands to include a family of sideboards. The materials are chosen to be elegant and luxurious, and they contrast with the studied simplicity of the design.

Ebony and sucupira

The sides and doors are available in ebony veneer with an opaque open-pore lacquer finish, or in Mink stained sucupira veneer, while the beveled top is Calacatta marble and the structure is satin-finish Bronze metal.
