Description

Overview

Brass bell Table lamp is a Ligne Roset table lamp by Patrick Zulauf. It carries a directional shade in semi-transparent brass-coloured borosilicate glass that looks like golden brass when switched off.

Construction

The head rises and falls and rotates 360°. The base (16 cm diameter) and the stem are finished in epoxy satin black lacquer. The cable is black round PVC with a black manual switch.

Specifications

Size: 160 x 260 x 560 mm (W x D x H); shade 13 cm diameter and 25 cm wide; weight 2.53 kg. Bulb included: 5 W GU10 dichroic full glass, 2,700 K, 400 lumens.

Story

Glass that turns transparent when lit

Borosilicate glass has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, so it is less sensitive to temperature shocks. The shade of this lamp is brass-coloured: golden brass when unlit, and once lit the coating becomes transparent so the bulb appears in a hologram effect.

Brass and a black stem

Brass is a warm alliance of copper and zinc and is the only metal able to imitate gold, with a colour that runs from pink to yellow. On the table lamp the brass-coloured shade sits on a stem and base finished in satin black lacquer.
