Construction
The sheet describes a chair in solid wood with seat and back in cane webbing, mounted with interchangeable plastic glides and supplied with separate felt glides. Fredericia says the runner legs make the chair particularly suitable for use on carpets, and that gliders can also be fitted.

Story
Natural materials, exposed construction
On its BM61/62 Collection section Fredericia presents two versions of the design in two natural materials, which it says show Børge Mogensen's talent for pared-down shapes engineered for comfort. It says both the BM61 Chair and the BM62 Armchair exude authenticity through an exposed construction that reveals hand craftsmanship, and describes the BM61 as a comfortable dining chair for seating before, during and after dinner.

A seat without foam
Under product impact, Fredericia says that paper cord, webbing or cane wicker gives a comfortable seat as a plastic-free alternative to polyurethane foam. It adds that the solid wood gets a patina with good care and that surfaces can be sanded down and restored.
