Description

Overview

Block Table is a rolling tray table by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen, used as a serving trolley or as a side table. Its handles are a natural extension of the legs.

Construction

The trays are powder coated steel, and the legs are ash, either lacquered or painted and lacquered. Each wheel matches the color of the trays and pivots through a full 360 degrees, and a black nylon band on the wheel gives grip and stability. The table ships flat packed with an assembly manual.

Specifications

W 50 x D 35 x H 64 cm (Block Table Black/Black, 602196).

Story

Starting from the trolley table

Simon Legald began with the classic trolley table and made it his own through simple but effective means. Rounded forms, contrasting materials and a blend of craft and industry give Block Table its character. The table dates from 2012.

A table without a front

With no specific direction built in, the table can be approached from any side. Its handles continue the line of the legs, and how it looks shifts with the room and with what is placed on it.
