Overview

The Bat Meeting Chair, Fully Upholstered is GamFratesi's armed Bat shell on a swivel base for the workplace. GUBI files it under Seating, Meeting Chairs, and its table gives 2018 as the design year. The default item, 10150891, has the shell covered in Remix 3 by Kvadrat (233, Standard) on a Matt Black 4-star base.

Construction

According to GUBI the 4-star meeting base now carries a pneumatic cylinder for height adjustment. Three bases are offered: the plain 4-star base, a height adjustable version of it and a height adjustable version on castors, all finished in Matt Black. For the default item the table lists black metal legs on standard glides, leg gloss matt (3-15 GU). The covering is fabric, durability 100.000 Martindale; the foam is Standard and the fire-retardant entry reads Standard (Not treated).

Specifications

The drawing of the upholstered chair on the 4-star base marks 61 cm wide, 57 cm deep and 85 cm high (24 x 22.5 x 33.5 in). The table gives a net weight of 8 kg (17.6 lb).

A shell for the workplace

GUBI presents the Bat Meeting Chair as the Bat chair with a pneumatic cylinder added for height adjustment. The page says this makes the chair able to adapt to the diverse needs of the modern workplace, "whether that be at home, an office, or somewhere in between."

Three upholstery states

The page's Variant row sets Fully Upholstered beside Front Upholstered and Un-Upholstered. This page is the fully upholstered one, where the textile covers the whole shell, and it offers five upholstery options on three bases.
