Story
A shell with a bat's wingspan
GUBI credits the chair to the Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi, who approached it with a Scandinavian view of crafts, simplicity and functionalism. The embracing shell with armrests is meant to combine aesthetics and comfort, and GUBI says it carries strong references to the distinctive shape of a bat's wingspan.
A textile that can change
The page states that, because of the design, the textile of the fully upholstered Bat Dining Chair can be changed over time to give the chair a different expression and new life in the interior.
