Description
Overview
Aston "Cord" Outdoor chair is a Minotti chair for outdoor use, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. Stainless steel in Pewter forms the frame, and the back is a cord braided from polypropylene.
Construction
- Frame: stainless steel, primed with zinc for outdoor use and then powder-coated in polyester, polished Pewter being the sole colour
- Seat: a stainless steel sheet laser-cut with a geometric pattern that belongs exclusively to Minotti Studio, then coated in polished Pewter
- Back and armrests: Taslan polypropylene braid, air texturized; 7 mm Ø for Light Grey and Dark Brown, 8 mm Ø for Khaki Green, Rust, Sand and Sunflower
- Cushions: cores of highly resilient polyurethane foam with eco-friendly fibre that resists water; both cushions detach completely
- Feet: protective polyethylene slides

Story
Pewter steel, treated for outdoors
Pewter polyester paint covers the stainless steel frame of Aston "Cord" Outdoor, which also receives a special treatment for exterior use. Waterproof fabric covers the padded cushions, whose inner padding is durable expanded polyurethane wrapped in water-repellent fibre.
Laser-cut seat, two cord diameters
The geometric pattern laser-cut into the seats is an exclusive Minotti Studio design. Cord of special braided polypropylene makes the back of the seat, 7 mm or 8 mm in diameter by colour, in variations matched to Art Lifescape fabrics.
