Description

Overview

Andrée Dining Outdoor is Hannes Peer's rectangular table derived from the namesake coffee table. Two broad vertical supports carry a ceramic-clad top in a monochrome composition.

Construction

Glazed tiles cover fibreglass-reinforced rigid polystyrene panels. The top contains a matt-black stainless-steel frame; aluminium bars inside the legs secure the lower plate and underpanel. Tile joints use colour-matched grout.

Specifications

The representative larger size measures 287 x 94.5 x H74 cm. A 263 cm version shares the same depth and height.

Story

A 1970s reference

Andrée Dining Outdoor is clearly inspired by the 1970s. Hannes Peer retains the rigorous geometry of the related coffee table while scaling its tiled surfaces for outdoor dining.

Crafted variation

The ceramic cladding is handmade using traditional methods. Variations in glaze, tile size, colour, levelling and grout are individual characteristics of the artisanal process rather than defects.
