Description

Overview

Andersen Slim 103 is the slim-armed Andersen sofa by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti. The page says it features slimmer armrests placed at the same height as the seat back, and that the sofa is crafted to accommodate any number of cushions placed freely. It has a raised base with feet in pressure-cast aluminium with a Pewter-coloured finish and a single bench-seat cushion.

Story

Slim armrests, loose cushions

Minotti's text sets the sofa apart by its armrests, which are slimmer and placed at the same height as the seat back. Out of the freely placed cushions, the page says, arise free-form arrangements of striking effect, and the single bench-seat cushion and raised base give what it calls graceful lines and spare dimensions.

Two arrangements

The page shows two arrangements, Andersen Slim 103 01 and 02, with a 330 x 227 cm footprint. In 01 a right-hand chaise longue and a right-hand element with one armrest, both 227 x 103 cm, are combined; in 02 a left-hand element with one armrest and a 227 cm sofa are combined.

London residence

The page links the project "London, residence in Marylebone": Studioloop turned a series of small artists' work spaces in Westminster into a residence, and the project page names the Allen and Andersen Slim sofas in the living space.
