5050

Overview

5050, a 2016 design by Rodolfo Dordoni, is a collection of bedroom furniture made up of night tables and chests of drawers with rounded structural contours, in the Molteni&C range.

Construction

Veneered chipboard tops and bases, lacquered fronts on medium-density fibreboard, an Eco Skin covered lower shelf on the chest of drawers, and a solid linden front piece under eucalyptus and oak veneer.

Specifications

• CCM1, chest of drawers: 127.7 cm wide, 53.8 cm deep, 85 cm on the vertical dimension line (not labelled on the drawing)
• CCD2, night table (right or left version): 90 x 44.8 cm
• CCD1, night table: 50 x 44.8 cm

Geometry with curves

The page says 5050 juxtaposes finishes and surfaces so that colour and texture form a rhythm, and that its rounded contours soften the geometric lines.

For everyday use

Molteni&C describes each piece as offering practical storage while adding to the visual rhythm of the room.
