Story

A hundred years on

The sheet opens with the line From 1919 to 2019: exactly one hundred years on, a new name, new dimensions and new proportions. It says that everything about the historic Poltrona Frau capitonné leather model has changed and yet everything remains the same, and that the brand reinterpreted it in collaboration with Roberto Lazzeroni while keeping its original spirit.

Proportions

The page's Insights text says that Roberto Lazzeroni observed the 1919 from every angle, sitting on it and touching it, and concluded that its proportions no longer matched the modern notion of comfort. The 2019 armchair is described as a new version that keeps intact all the features that made the original famous.
