Biography

Background

Zuccon International Project is an architecture and industrial design studio with a Rome address. Its Heritage page describes it as traditionally active in office and civil architecture, yachting and automotive design. In 1978 the spouses Gianni and Paola Zuccon launched their first project, the Technema 65, designed for the Posillipo shipyard, at the Genoa International Boat Show; the page says the success went beyond every expectation and that the firm became one of the key names in yachting. Martina and Bernardo Zuccon, the new generation, now run it.

Signature Style

The studio's Design Philosophy page says the same principles apply whether it designs a house or a boat, an office or a yacht: cultural affinity and a long-term commitment to the client, the project as a way of understanding reality, and research as a source of new ideas. Design, it says, serves the client's corporate identity and is not an aesthetic embellishment.

Notable Works

The Heritage page dates the Technema 65 to 1978, the Ferretti 175 and Technema 82 to 1991, the Bertram 630 to 2004, the Custom Line 94' to 2006 and the Custom Line 112' to 2008, alongside buildings for the European Space Agency (ESA). The Products page lists Mon, Tramae, Azteca, the Gea collection, Oblò and Jacques-Yves, the last with Poltrona Frau.

Clients and partners

The studio's yacht section names Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Perini Navi, Ferretti Yachts, Custom Line, CRN and I.C. Yachts among its clients.
