Biography
Background
Vital Lainé was born in 1997 in Rennes and trained as an interior designer. He founded his design studio in 2021, in which he develops and creates furniture and objects dedicated to living spaces.
Signature Style
Attentive to the impact of his creations, he pays particular attention to material, with which he tries to develop an esoteric exchange during the design process. From listening to the material to producing the object, the model and the drawing are part of his creative process. He creates objects halfway between the usual and the sculptural, and his approach offers a brutalist yet sensitive vision of each object. The formal simplicity of his pieces gives them an elementary functionality, whether as industrial products, small series or unique pieces.
Notable Works
For Ligne Roset he designed the Chute libre occasional table.
Legacy
His studio dates from 2021.
