Teddy Moissant

Background

Teddy Moissant is a designer of objects, furniture and lighting based in Strasbourg. He is a graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Rennes and also developed skills at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg.

Signature Style

He is very sensitive to the exploitation of short circuits and to the sustainability of the local craft scene. He believes in sharing knowledge and skills and in developing networks, and he is constantly looking for new techniques or technologies, creating objects in self-production with the use of FabLabs.

Notable Works

He designed the Ontario footstool for Ligne Roset, a hybrid piece that mixes pedestal table and stool, armrest and trinket pot, with solid wood and leather taken from scrap.

Legacy

Ontario took first prize in the Cinna 2022 competition.
