Construction

Its structure is built from multi-ply panels covered with 6.5 kPa polyurethane foam (50 kg/m3) and quilted in polyester at 110 g/m². A foam of 42 kg/m3 - 4.8 kPa provides the seat comfort. The seat is made of a monocolour textile. The tablet is a turned piece of stained solid ash that can support up to 30 kg, and a leather strap serves as a handle.

Specifications

850 x 320 x 670 mm (W x D x H), seat height 510 mm.

Story

A hybrid piece with a tablet

Ontario is a tribute to the designers Pauline Deltour and Pierre Paulin. It is a functional hybrid piece of furniture that lets the user create their own usage scenario: a mix between relevance and softness, pedestal table and stool, armrest and trinket pot.

Scrap wood and leather

Ontario took first prize in the Cinna 2022 competition. The brief asked for a virtuous product made from industrial offcuts, within a short circuit, and the solid wood and leather taken from scrap make Ontario particularly poetic and virtuous. The leather strap serves as a handle, held by two flanged screws.
