unPIZZO is a design studio with a small artisan workshop, specialised in interlacing for furnishing. It was created in 2014 by Agnese Selva and Bettina Colombo.
Signature Style
Work starts from the form and use of traditional Brianza lace, which the studio wants to enhance and rethink through a new design approach, aiming at a contemporary look and function. Its projects grow out of traditional interlacing studied afresh in a modern key, then applied to new products that bring out the textures of the old stories behind it.
Notable Works
For B&B Italia the studio designed Tramae, an outdoor ottoman dated 2020 with a hexagonal shape and an exclusive weave.
Legacy
After its debut at the Salone del Mobile in 2016, unPIZZO continued with important collaborations.
