Background
Samuel Accoceberry was born in Bordeaux and works between Paris and Biarritz. He graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art in Nancy and the Raymond Loewy School, then spent ten years with design agencies in France and Italy before opening his studio in 2010.
Practice
His studio works across furniture, industrial and urban design, lighting, interiors, scenography, art direction and limited editions. Accoceberry's own account emphasizes craft knowledge, workmanship and the human role in making.
Recognition
The City of Paris awarded him its Grand Prix de la Création in 2013. Flexform also records three Red Dot Design Awards and a German Design Award.
Exhibitions
His work has been shown at the Musée d'Art Moderne and Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Vallauris Ceramics Museum, Triennale Design Museum in Milan and Design Museum Holon.
