Background

PlueerSmitt is a Basel-based design duo of Swiss designers Dominic Plueer and Olivier Smitt. Their studio, PlueerSmitt GmbH, has an address in Basel.

Signature Style

The duo challenges assumptions about daily life's most basic products. They embolden a product's material presence and keep unfamiliar forms from being reduced to typical primary functions, so that small-scale furniture and objects become autonomous objects.

The studio has shown at Spazio Cabinet in Milan, at Design Miami/Basel and at the Design Biennales in London and Zürich, and had a solo show, Carte Blanche, in Zürich in 2019.
