Background

Marc Krusin began his career in Italy, where Knoll says he worked at the heart of the Milanese design scene for more than 13 years and became Piero Lissoni's right-hand man and associate. Knoll International gives his birth as London, 1973, and says he graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in furniture design and then founded the Milan-based group Codice 31 with five other designers. He now has his own practice in London.

Signature Style

Krusin describes his intention as creating visual silence, with objects that are unobtrusive and harmonise with their surroundings instead of shouting for attention.

Notable Works

For Knoll he co-designed the wa office system with Piero Lissoni, introduced by Knoll International in 2006, and designed the Krusin chair and table collection; the chair design won a 2011 GOOD DESIGN Award from the Chicago Athenaeum. Legacy

Knoll says he has taught and lectured at universities in Europe and Australia, and that he established his own firm, Klay.
