Biography
Barba Corsini
Barba Corsini (1916–2008) was a functionalist architect whose work for La Pedrera in Barcelona received international attention. GUBI associates his approach with the powerful simplicity he admired in Finnish architecture and identifies that quality in the Pedrera designs.
Joaquim Ruiz Millet
During the 1991 restoration of La Pedrera, Joaquim Ruiz Millet discovered the PD2 floor lamp before it was discarded. GUBI states that he then collaborated with Corsini to relaunch the original designs created for the building.
