Biography
Background
Arthur Van-Poucke was born in Lille in 1999 and spent his childhood in Brittany, in the Côtes d'Armor. After a DUT in Science and Materials Engineering he joined the école d'art et design de Saint-Étienne. He sees linking science, technical mastery of materials and design as a good combination.
Practice
He is studying for a Masters in Contemporary Art/Contemporary Design, working on a practice that combines industrial objects, mechanisms and material research. Alongside his studies he works in partnership with a masonry business to produce modular concrete furniture, a project at the design stage.
Ailleurs
After he won the prix du public at the 16th Cinna competition, his Ailleurs light was in development. The Ailleurs table lamp is among his Ligne Roset creations.
