Biography
Background
Antoine Rouzeau was born in 1985 and graduated in architecture with the HMONP qualification in Paris. He then worked for several agencies, including Ateliers Jean Nouvel, and works as an architect at the Musée d'Orsay. His practice therefore spans institutional architecture and the development of domestic objects.
Design approach
Alongside architecture, Rouzeau develops everyday objects. He aims to give products as much clarity as possible, puts use first and treats every detail as important. This emphasis connects the overall form of an object to the way it is handled and used.
Collaborations
His first collaborations in 2019 included work with Northern, Made.com and Matière Première. For Ligne Roset he designed the Grid bronze floor lamp, a two-light composition of tubular and perforated steel.
