Description
Overview
Antoine Rouzeau's Grid floor lamp places two perforated-steel shades on a single tubular stem. One shade sits at 1,200 mm and the other at the lamp's full 1,750 mm height, directing light from two levels.
Construction
A rounded rectangular base measures 350 x 280 mm. The stem is 22 mm-diameter tubular steel, while each rolled and soldered perforated sheet-steel shade measures 300 x 55 x 280 mm. The complete metal structure has an epoxy bronze lacquer finish.
Electrical specification
A black textile cable carries a black foot switch. Two supplied 5 W GU10 full-glass dichroic LED bulbs have 36-degree beams, a 3,000 K warm-white colour temperature and an output of 400 lumens. Overall dimensions are 600 x 280 x 1,750 mm (W x D x H), with a weight of 16.5 kg.
Story
Two illuminated grids
Grid's pair of perforated shades interrupt a straight vertical stem at different levels. The rolled sheet creates a mesh-like surface around each light source while leaving the cylindrical ends open.
Bronze from base to shade
The rounded rectangular base, tubular stem and both shades share one epoxy bronze finish. The lower shade projects to one side and the upper shade to the other, giving the 1,750 mm lamp a balanced, asymmetric profile.
