Collection Story
Origin
Fredericia's Wegner Ox Chair & Queen Collection page lists three pieces by Hans J. Wegner: the Ox Chair, the Queen Chair and the Ox Ottoman. All three fact sheets give 1960 as the design year.
Design Language
The three pieces are fully upholstered over an inner frame of solid wood and moulded cold cured foam, with a non-removable cover and a stainless steel base on plastic glides. Leather can be used as a contrast to fabric: on the chairs as piping, on the ottoman as side pads.
