Collection Story
Origin
Taru is an upholstery family that Sebastian Herkner designed for the French maker. The house introduces it through its settee: a welcoming, comfortable seat meant to display the workmanship of the French maker, with a base covered entirely in upholstery.
Design Language
Seat and backrest are woven together visually through a gently curved back and two materials. The back can be customised from behind, so fabrics, leathers and colours may be combined, and the maker stresses that the piece reads well from both sides.
Key Pieces
Large settee of three places, medium settee, medium 1-arm settees in left and right versions, canalounge, armchair and footstool.
