Collection Story
Origin
Settle is Muuto's outdoor seating series by the Norwegian duo Anderssen & Voll. Muuto's story says it responds to a revival of, and a wish for, upholstered outdoor furniture as outdoor living spaces come to mirror the comforts of indoors, and that the designers answered the renewed demand for durable, high-quality outdoor furniture.
Design Language
The series pairs a tubular steel frame with supporting textile bands, plush cushions and, on some pieces, wooden armrests in FSC-certified sapele mahogany. Anderssen says the steel and textile bands nod to classic outdoor furniture, while the upholstery and tailored details lean on indoor sofas and lounge chairs, giving a light, contemporary and distinctly Scandinavian feel.
