Collection Story
Origin
Newbridge is a Flexform seating system by Carlo Colombo, dated 2018; the sheets are titled "NEWBRIDGE | CARLO COLOMBO | 2018". A Flexform video in its 2018 collection series introduces the sofa as a Carlo Colombo design.
Design Language
Flexform describes balanced proportions, soft contours and generous padding that make the sofa warm and inviting. Bases, seats, seat backs and armrests share one thickness and carry extra-soft padding in a high-performance elastic material, and a reclinable armrest heightens an enveloping "cocoon" effect. Elements come in two depths, which allows compact arrangements for urban spaces as well as larger compositions.
