Collection Story
Origin
Muuto lists Midst as a table family by TAF Studio, the Stockholm studio of Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom.
Design Language
The name refers to the center, with the table as a gravitational point. The round shape cancels out hierarchy, since there is no head of the table, and draws people in towards the middle.
Key Pieces
The family includes Midst Table (also with a power cut-out), Midst Coffee Table and Midst Conference Table. Midst Table is round at 120, 140 and 160 cm; the coffee table is 90 cm across and 38 cm high; the conference table is listed at 330, 395 and 460 x 140 cm.
