Collection Story
Origin
Lewa is a Ligne Roset collection of tables designed by Sebastian Herkner. Its inspiration is geological: basalt columns, formed by the solidification and thermal contraction of magma flows. Herkner was fascinated by the regularity of their hexagonal prisms, which can be topped with less regular elements, sometimes arranged in wreath shapes.
Design Language
On every Lewa table the base is black lacquered steel, the top is ash in a natural or black-stained version, and the tray is moulded ceramic in one of three colours.
