Collection Story
Origin
Kartell's data sheets for Invisible Table and Invisible Side are both headed 2012 and credit the design to Tokujin Yoshioka. The Invisible Table sheet also carries the line Good Design Award 2012.
Design Language
The family is made of transparent PMMA in a single colour, Crystal, on both sheets. Kartell's page for the table pairs lightness with solidity and says the form is simple and pure enough to adapt to any environment. The Invisible Side page calls the piece clean, linear and minimal, the aesthetic synthesis of the designer's Japanese culture.
Key Pieces
- Invisible Table, the standard table
- Invisible Table Low, listed by Kartell as a coffee table
- Invisible Side, a side table that can also serve as a console table
