Collection Story
Origin
Insula is a Fredericia series of aluminium tables designed by Ernst & Jensen, the Danish pair Anne-Mette Bartholin-Jensen and Morten Ernst. The collection has four pieces: coffee tables 5190, 5191 and 5192, and the Insula Piccolo side table, model 5198. The three coffee tables were designed in 2009 and the Piccolo in 2014.
Design Language
An asymmetrical yet balanced outline meets a thin top above angular legs. They read as small islands and can be shown singly or grouped as an archipelago.
