Collection Story
Origin
Kartell's museum timeline lists the new Hiray outdoor furniture collection by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba under 2022, and the data sheet that opens with the chair carries the heading HIRAY 2022. The high stool and a table followed as additions that, in Kartell's words, complete the Hiray family.
Design Language
Hiray takes metal, which Kartell calls one of the most important materials in the greening of its catalogue, and shapes it with the welded wire process. Kartell describes the result as essential and functional yet rich in emotion, with wire that forms sinuous transparencies and a three-dimensional design.
