Collection Story
Origin
Grand angle is a family of settees and modular compositions by Marie-Christine Dorner for Ligne Roset. Its settees are deep and multifaceted, with an articulated headrest and stretch stitching that make the comfort very apparent.
Design Language
The backrest uses an inverted chain system, which makes it possible to create a high headrest in the vertical position, a rolled-up one in combination with a lumbar cushion, or a less deep position. Stitching forms an elastic mesh that keeps the look irreproachable whatever the position of the backrest and seat; this sunburst pleat holds the material tightly in place so that the back rolls up perfectly. Dorner sought an adaptive seat depth while keeping a consistent appearance. The broad armrest is also designed to be sat on, and the feather-filled lumbar cushions are dense for a perfect fit.
Key Pieces
The family has three settees without lumbar cushion, each seating three and each 715 mm high and 1,000 mm deep: a small settee with slim armrest, a large settee with slim armrest and a large settee with broad armrest. The range also has numbered modular compositions, each 715 mm high.
On INTEBEE the pieces of this collection can be added to a spec sheet with their official images and dimensions, and every revision of the specification is kept in one place for the project team and suppliers.
