起源
Muutoは2014年にFiber Chairを初めて発表しました。コペンハーゲンのデュオIskos-Berlinによる本作は、定番のシェルチェアに先進的な解釈を加えたいという発想から生まれました。単なるプラスチック製の椅子ではなく、現代の私たちの世界の捉え方に響く、独自の表現を持つデザインです。後の世代では、環境負荷を減らすという意識のもとで再設計されています。
デザインの特徴
すべてのピースは、プラスチックと木質繊維の複合素材によるシェルを共通して採用しています。これにより、奥行きのある独特の表面と柔らかく艶消しの手触りが生まれます。繊維は遠くからは見えませんが、近くで見ると現れます。Muutoの公式ページでは、このファミリーがEU Ecolabel認証を取得していることが案内されています。
