Collection Story
Origin
Esosoft is the collection that grew out of Antonio Citterio's first project for Cassina, a modular sofa. Cassina's sheet describes a living room system that gives the home a fluid, flexible landscape of seating, carrying the designer's elegance and an homage to the great masters' habit of separating a structure from its padded interior.
Design Language
An aluminium exoskeleton carries a shell with an organic silhouette and loose soft cushions. The sheet says the form joins the casual comfort of the 1960s with cutting-edge production techniques chosen to make the system circular and sustainable; CassinaLAB is credited with the polyurethane foam of biological origin and the recycled PET fibre.
