Story
Textural contrasts
Cassina's page presents the armchair as one that enhances the outdoor landscape by focusing on contrasts. It pairs the industrial dimension of the exoskeleton with the artisanal dimension of a basket woven in a pattern reminiscent of wicker.
Circular materials for the cushions
The product sheet credits Cassina LAB with the soft cushion padding. Its polyurethane contains some bio-derived polyols, it is combined with recycled PET wadding, and the whole is laminated to water-repellent fabric. The sheet also notes visible screws on the metal frame, which mean the base can be taken apart; it links this to recycling of the components.
